I’m a Software Developer based in Dublin, Ireland. I’ve spent time working in a number of companies from quirky start-ups always on the brink of failure, to larger corporations dealing with highly scalable systems. This blog contains some occasional notes from work that I’ve done in these jobs – usually related to Java programming and Agile Development under the IT category.
This blog also contains experiences from a short career break and some events since then. We took a three month whirlwind trip around the world taking in more sights and experiences than we ever expected. We arrived back home to a wintry Ireland in the throes of a severe depression and attempted to answer the question – what now? So far this has involved new jobs, new houses and possibly more changes down the line…
Hello Shelia,
I just discovered your blog today, someone posted a link to it from Twitter.
As the community manager for Alfresco, I wanted to thank you for sharing your lessons learned with the community. Please stop by the forums when you can, there are a lot of new members who would benefit from your experience.
Do you plan to attend our meetup in London on April 23rd, http://www.alfresco.com/about/events/2009/04/cc-roadshow? It would be great to see you there.
Best,
Nancy Garrity, Alfresco Community Manager
